In 1973, Kitty Winn co-starred with Bonnie Bedelia and Martin Sheen in the ABC TV movie Message to My Daughter. Previously, Kitty Winn had done two other made-for-television movies: The House That Would Not Die in 1970 and also a less prominent role in Man on a String in 1972.
Message to My Daughter came out around the same time as the TV movie tearjerker Sunshine, and the two projects cover the some of the same ground. the following article touches on the similarity and explains how the two projects, though superficially similar are actually quite different.
