Samantha Eggar as The Strange Lady

In 1973, Samantha Eggar co-starred alongside Stacy Keach in The Man of Destiny. Based on the play by George Bernard Shaw, Stacy Keach portrays Napoleon Bonaparte and Samantha Eggar plays a mysterious woman who enters his life. Samantha Eggar and Stacy Keach would team up again the following year for the ABC TV movie All the Kind Strangers.

The following newspaper clippings should provide some general information about The Man of Destiny:

Meg Foster cooks and gives advice

A while back, an article was featured here in which actress Meg Foster talked about drug-free childbirth and prenatal preparation. Well, this newspaper clipping from the summer of 1978 is a bit more lighthearted and features Meg Foster discussing topics such as food, her garden, the acting business and her general views on life. Best of all, however, are the two recipes she bring along to the interview, one of which is a quiche recipe from her sister Gray Foster (!).

Meg Foster guest stars on Baretta

In early 1975, Meg Foster was a guest star on the TV detective drama Baretta. In the episode 'Ragtime Billy Peaches', Meg Foster plays Lola, the friend of a murder victim whose death Tony Baretta is investigating.

Between 1970 and 1977, Meg Foster was doing a lot of television guest appearances. In 1975 alone, Meg Foster was featured on episodes of three other TV shows, plus she joined the regular cast of the short-lived Sunshine television series. Her role on Baretta must have gone over well with someone because Meg Foster returned to the show for another guest appearance in the next season.

Kathleen Beller stars on The Bronx Zoo

Between 1987 and 1988, Kathleen Beller was one of the principal stars, alongside Ed Asner and Kathryn Harrold, of the short-lived NBC drama The Bronx Zoo. The show, about a troubled high school in New York City, featured Kathleen Beller as a teacher.

The Bronx Zoo was one of only two television series of which Kathleen Beller was a regular cast member. Between 1982 and 1984, she had a featured role on the popular prime-time soap Dynasty.

Kathleen Beller was the subject of a profile which was featured in many North American newspapers in April of 1987. The Bronx Zoo originally premiered in March of 1987 and around this time there was a fair amount of publicity for the new show.
